Our Electric Fan Cut my Child's Finger

Posted by dheiyzhie12 Monday, November 29, 2010 0 comments

Lasko 16-Inch Oscillating Pedestal Fan, BlackYesterday my son accidentally put his finger inside our electric fan. He was climbing the side of our double deck where our fan stands. He shouted then all of the sudden I saw lots of blood coming out of his fingers. He cried very loud and we started to put cotton balls on his blood. I let him sat on my lap to comfort him while trying to press his fingers a little bit with cotton balls to lessen the flowing of blood. After a few minutes it stopped bleeding and then I put cold compress on it. His dad got really mad at him because of his clumsiness. Due to crying he fall asleep. His dad then put betadine and amoxicillin on his cut. Two of his fingers got cuts on them and on one finger a small part of his nail was cut too. I hope in a few days it would be healed since he will have a hard time writing and coloring at school because it was his right hand which was caught by the fan.

Davids New Jacket

Posted by dheiyzhie12 Monday, November 22, 2010 0 comments

On Thanks Giving Day our team at work is planning to go to Baguio along with our family. Baguio is known for its cold breeze or temperature. We went there before when David I think was two years old. He was too young then and cannot remember anything. This time he is 5 years and he is excited to wear his new jacket. He told me to buy one with a hood but I got excited when I purchased one on sale and did not noticed that what I got doesn't have a hood. It's 50% off, I was able to get it for only P250. We will be leaving this Thursday and we'll be back on Saturday. I will ask my husband to go to his school to inform his teacher about our trip. I hope he would enjoy the Baguio as well as his new jacket.

Wants to be a Fireman

Posted by dheiyzhie12 0 comments

Early this morning I asked my husband to assist David with his assignment. I told him to answer p140 of his Filipino book. His assignment is to think of what he wanted to be when he grow up and why. I'm not sure if at the age of 5 he can say what he really wanted. I was still at home when they started to do his homework. Robin give him choices which are examples on the book. He asked David if he wanted to be an engineer, doctor, fisherman, fireman, baker and pilot. He explained what each person does. David is silent and had his mouth open which what he does when he is shy or don't know what to do. His dad doesn't want that mannerism and got mad at him. I really feel sad when his dad shouts at him. After few minutes of convincing I asked David if  maybe he wants to be a fireman so that when our house is caught on fire he can save or rescue our baby Rhaine. I saw a smile on his face, he likes the idea of being a hero to his little sister. Her father then draw a fireman on his book and I told David that fireman's job is to kill fire and rescue people from it. I am happy that David loves his little sister.

Every birthday in the family my sister-in-law, Rowena, always buy us a big cake from Red Ribbon. Since my birthday and my husbands birthday are in two consecutive dates we just do the celebration on his birthday. This year I told my husband to tell her sister Rowena instead of buying a cake for me just buy David a new pair of white rubber shoes. He uses it for their PE at school. His white Garfield rubber shoes is about to retire. Last Sunday when we went to SM Southmall, Rowena followed us to buy the shoes for David. His dad is the one who choose the shoes from him. Its a white rubber shoes from Chicco. It looks very elegant and David is excited to wear it this coming Friday for their PE. Thanks to her Tita Weng.

Ointment for Ecthyma

Posted by dheiyzhie12 Saturday, November 13, 2010 0 comments

My husband and I got really worried about the wound that keeps on spreading my little boy's leg. It started as a small wound with puss inside. Now he has 3 wounds on one leg, 1 wound on the other leg and a small one also on his feet. All of them are crusting due to pus. We noticed as days pass by there are small blisters with pus around the wound which is causing it to go bigger. At first we are cleaning it with "agua oxinada" or hydrogen peroxide and we would put betadine afterwards. Our neighbor says not to use agua oxinada so what we used instead is "bayabas" or guava. This is normally used in cleaning would. You just need to boil guava leaves and use it for cleaning the wound. We also put betadine afterwards. Its been a week now and we don't see any improvement.

When we visited his pedia we are told just to clean it with soap and water and put ointment 3 times a day. The prescription ointment is Mupirocin. I bought it for P183 at Watsons. I saw his pedia wrote ecthyma for his diagnosis. I started to google about it and saw that it is what exactly happening. Lesions are starting to spread on his legs..... I am hoping and praying that the ointment his doctor says to use would heal his wound.

Gadget for Coffee Lover

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Nestle Dolce Gusto. All opinions are 100% mine.

I am not a coffee lover but I am sure my mom would love this NESCAFE Dolce Gusto. It is a small coffee machine that helps you make great tasting coffee at your fingertips. You no longer need to go to different shop just to have a frothy milk or a yummy cappuccino. The advantage of this device is that it uses 15-bar pressure pump unlike an ordinary coffee maker that operates at one bar of pressure. Because of this Nescafe Dolce Gusto can produce authentic coffee taste and can make those delicious crema layer.

To ensure perfect cup Nescafe comes with coffee capsule. Each capsule contains a premium blend of roast and ground coffee from 100% Arabica beans and is vacuum sealed to retain freshness. These capsules are made to order anytime and what excites me is that you can also make cold beverages from it. They have 8 varieties of capsule (Caffe Lungo, Espresso, Cappuccino, Late Macchiato, Mocha, Caffe Americano, Iced Cappuccino and Chococino) that you can customized to come up with different flavors.

This is really a good gadget for your kitchen. I am sure your family and friends would enjoy both hot and cold beverages that you can come up from this machine. You can fantastic review here.

Back to School

Posted by dheiyzhie12 Saturday, November 6, 2010 0 comments

After two weeks of sem break David will be back to school tomorrow. He is very excited because they will have their field trip on Tuesday. I hope and pray that his good grades will continue. He was included among the best students on their 2nd grading, he was the top four. His mamay is teasing him because he was one of the noisy students, hehehe. He tells his mamay that their teacher would get their ID if they are noisy.

Next year we are planning to move to our new house. It will also be a new school for David. I hope he will not have problem and be able to have friends in our neighborhood and in his new school.

Dreaming to be a Teacher

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of 2tor. All opinions are 100% mine.

When I was a kid I once dream of being a teacher. However destiny brought me to being a computer engineer. I am now working as a technical support for a company who is leading when it comes to making smart UPS. Given a chance I would like also to take Master of Arts in teaching. With my busy schedule earning a degree online would be my only way to achieve this goal. With the use of internet I can study online during my free time. I don't need to travel going to school and this would help me keep doing things that I am currently doing. No need to quit on anything. Time management combined with perseverance and determination would help achieve my goal. Thanks to online education.

USC Rossier School of Education's MAT@USC offers current educators and aspiring teachers the prestige of earning a Master of Arts in Teaching degree. They are internationally renowned research institution with a 100-year history of educating teachers to be agent of change. They rank #22 in the United States as a School of Education and #9 among all private universities by US news and world report. Truly it is a school with integrity and can be trusted.

Here is some of their program information. They have an innovative combination of highly interactive online learning with field-based experiences in your local area. Another thing to get excited about is the total reimbursement program designed exclusively for MAT@USC graduates. With their accelerated program you can complete your degree in as little as 12 months. Not only that, you will have an opportunity to become part of the elite USC Trojan Family. It is a great honor to be part of them.

Master's Degree not Impossible for Busy Individual

Posted by dheiyzhie12 Wednesday, November 3, 2010 0 comments

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Ashworth College. All opinions are 100% mine.

It's amazing how the internet is revolving. From getting information, playing games, shopping, doing research, sharing pictures, chatting, email, different type of social networking, news, videos, movies, TV shows and now even getting a Master's Degree is possible online. It is popular now a day that there are almost 4,000,000 students taking at least one course online.

For a working mom like me Online College would be very helpful. I would be able to get Master's Degree or maybe certificate without quitting my job. Since it is online I can study whenever I want at my own free time. I can do it if I came early to work or after putting my baby to sleep. It also helps me saves time and money because I don't need to travel going to school. Based on research the tuition fee online is about 88% less than the bachelor's degree programs at a traditional institution. The fee online already includes all books and course materials; I guess that's what makes it cheaper. In May 17, 2010, Ashworth College Featured by National Education Report as a contributor to the advancement of distance education, both nationally and internationally.

Unlike other schools there are no student loans so you are guaranteed to graduate without student loan debt. If you don't have enough money to pay the tuition in full they offer zero-interest financing with a low monthly payment. It's as low as having a couple of large pizzas. If you are interested in pursuing another career or take Master's Degree and don't have enough time of going to school or cannot afford quitting your current job go ahead and try this online education. You can visit Ashworth Video Gallery for some testimonials of those who are able to graduate online.
