Buwan ng Wika Dance

Posted by dheiyzhie12 Monday, August 30, 2010 0 comments

Its funny. I swap schedule with my team mate to be able to attend the Buwan ng Wika. The program starts at 8am so I changed my schedule to 8pm to 5am. But then I fall asleep in the bus and woke up in Costal Road going to Baclaran. I thought I will be late but still I was able to made it. I arrived at home around 7:30pm. Robin and David already left to school. My husband left Rhaine in the other house. When I started to dress Rhaine, David's school service arrived so I decided to go with them instead of walking.

At school I saw the students sitting on the middle but David is not there. I saw him beside his Daddy crying and doesn't want to join his classmates. I talked to him and I was able to convince him to go his seat. After a few minutes the program started. I remember last year there was an event where they dance to the tune of Nobody. He did not actually dance then but just stand and look around. Now he is more cooperative. Even though he did not perfect the steps at least he is now moving and is coping up. My husband took a video of it. My computer at home is broken so I am unable to upload it. He is really a shy kid and I am really happy seeing a boost at David's confidence.

Cry Baby

Crying Baby, Sleepless Nights: Why Your Baby Is Crying and What You Can Do About ItDavid is already 5 years old but he cries easily on small things. It seems to be that he is very emotional. Like if you shout at him, if he is unable to finish a computer game/DS game, if a playmate pick on him etc. As a boy I want him to be stronger emotionally. I know it is normal to cry but crying very often even on small things seems to be unhealthy. I hope as he grows older he will change and become stronger.

Small Business

Yesterday the boys inside our shuttle are talking about womanizing. Our company provides a service which is a van that drops us to a different location. It is "boys talk" so its about girls, their past experiences with them, wild dreams, crushes, their type, etc. Someone even mention that they are just looking for girls whom they can have sex but not a commitment. They say it is hard when the girl falls for you because it is hard to leave the relationship. Imagine most of these guys are married. I wonder if all boys are really like that because as far as I know my husband is not a womanizer. I guess if he mingled with this type of guys he can easily be tempted because it is a guy instinct. Just like what they said it is easier to avoid sin than to get out of it.

When I got home I saw my husband washing the laundry. Seeing him doing it is a usual scene. I don't know what came in me but all of the sudden I feel bad. Its a combination of both pain and sadness. I started to feel that some people might be saying bad things about him. For about 5 years now it is only me who is working and he is the one taking care of our children. He also do most of the household chores which I also try to help. Instead of going to the computer which what I usually do after work. I started to cook food, wash the dishes and clean baby bottles. I also feed our two kids and prepared David to school. I got really tired and the sadness that I have was replaced with irritation. I easily get irritated to David's clumsiness but I am trying to control my temper because I know that I can easily get mad. Anyway when David went to school I was able to do my computer stuff and let our little girl go to sleep. I also fall asleep afterwards.

Before I left going back to work I saw my husband hunting for a job again abroad. The other night the agency where he applied before send him a message that he can now process his visa. I told him not to go because of the very low salary. I don't want him to leave not because of the salary really but because I want him to be with us. I am used to having him around and also I know it would be happier if we are together as a family. I am reading a lot of articles about OFW's sharing their experiences, how sad their life is living away from their family. I hope and pray that either he find a job here in the country or better we put up a small business.

I love you Robin!

Plus and Minus

I've mention before that David doesn't enjoy writing. I discover that his interest is actually in Math. He loves counting over and over again. At the age of 5 he can count up to 100 and he can also count in reverse. With this talent  his dad taught how to add and subtract number. He can add and subtract as long as one of the addends or the subtrahend is not more than 10. He uses his10 small fingers when adding and subtracting. I am very proud of my little boy.

Preparation for Buwan ng Wika

The Barong Tagalog Then & Now (The Millennium Edition)- Philippine BookI remember last year's Buwan ng Wika, David, wear a red pants and a white kamiso tsino. The nursery kids made a dance before. Now at kindergarten he was told to wear barong and black pants. The event will happen this coming August 27. I don't know what they will perform. Maybe they will do the "Po and Opo" poem. Right now I am still trying to look for a barong and pants for him. I am hesitant in buying barong and pants since he will only wear it once. If I will not be able to borrow, my mom said she would pay half the price of his clothing. I need to swap schedule at work as well to be able to attend the presentation.

Rhogam vs Winrho

Posted by dheiyzhie12 Monday, August 2, 2010 0 comments

I was one of those very few people who have RH negative blood type. Because of this I am given a special vaccine during and after my pregnancy. On my first baby I was only given the vaccine (Rhogam) after giving birth since I change my OB and she find out about it a little too late. Then on my 2nd child I was given Rhogam I think on my 28 weeks. When I was about to give birth, Makati Medical Center got out of stock of Rhogam so I need to look for an alternative. I was able to buy Winhro but it is twice the price as Rhogam. I remember we bought Rhogam at Makati Medical Center for about P6+++ while we got Rhogam for about P15,+++. I don't know what is the difference between the two. One thing that I noticed though Rhogam is in a ready syringe while Winrho is in powder and needs to be diluted. I tried googling it but most of the forums are very old, way back 2000-2007. I am not sure if we got scammed by the price of Winrho or what makes it more expensive than Rhogam.

Yesterday David and I visited his pedia at Casa Medica. We arrived at around 10am and had his urinalysis. Dra. Estorninos said that his urinalysis shows ok and he already recovered from UTI. I asked her if tetra pack juice or softdrink can cause the problem. She said you cannot get UTI from food. You can get it when you restrain from peeing or from bacteria. She said since David is not yet circumcise the probability of having infection is more common. Her advised was to wash the tip of his "bird" when he takes a bath.
