We visited Dra. Estorninos at SM South Mall Casa Medica last Sunday. She was also Ron David's pedia when he was still an infant. We left our house around 9am so that we can have Rhaine listed right away since her doctor always have a lot of patients. We arrived at 10am which is the start time of her clinic and we are already number 6 on the list. Good thing two patients are unable to wait for her since she is a few minutes late and Rhaine got called right away.
She now weights 7.1kg and the doctor said she is longer compare to other kids at her age, 6 months. Rhaine started crying when the doctor lay her down and started to measure the circumference of her head and her height. She cried much louder when she was given a shot for Pneumoccocal vaccine. The doctor said she will not get fever which is very good. Aside from her cherifer vitamin I was told to also give her Ferlin as an iron supplement. Our next visit will be on February 21 where she will be given a measles vaccine. Thank God it is much cheaper, I was told it would cost only P1200.
Dra. Estorninos also said we could give solid food gradually to Rhaine. We can start with plain rice flavor of Cerelac with an increasing amount everyday for a week and then we can start giving her other veggies like mash potato or squash. After two weeks we can give her mixed flavor of Cerelac like wheat & banana etc. I am very happy to see my baby growing up, I am excited to see her walking and calling me Mommy.
