Last Sunday we brought Rhaine Danielle to have a measles vaccine. While she was crying after the shot, her pedia, noticed that she has a tongue tie. I don't know what it means but hearing what she said I know there is a problem. She continued and said there might be a need to cut a small flesh under her tongue. This is needed so that she will not have a speech problem when she grow up.
That really scares me. Just thinking of painful it would be for my little girl makes me teary eyed. I've read online that is a very quick surgery where the patient can go home after that. The baby will not have even have a problem drinking milk. One of our neighbor said that their brother undergone that procedure when he was still a baby and they are thinking that is the reason he was very talkative.
I am planning to talk to our pedia next month to schedule the said operation. Though I am scared I don't want my little princess to have problem in speech. I hope everything will went well and there will be no such problem.
