My son David loves playing games at Tom's World. Mostly he plays those that give out tickets. Those tickets can be exchange to different items depending on the points. When he went out before with his dad he was able to get 2 angry bird sharpeners, one red and one blue. He enjoys playing with it and he even bring it at school. Yesterday I was reviewing him for their periodical exam, something bad happen. He was so playful while we are studying. He cant stand in one position, he keeps on moving around and playing. I only have like an hour of sleep from work and was tired already. I told him several times to behave and listen, I loosen up my temper and threw one of his angry bird sharper and it broke. While he was crying, I feel guilt in me for doing that. I knew that he value that toy so much. I explained to him his mistakes and why I get mad. I also told him how lucky he is for having a mom who works hard for his needs and what I am doing is for his own good. At the end I also apologized for my behavior. We end up hugging each other and went back to studying. Lord please give me more patient and help me raise my kid well.
Last Saturday was the class card distribution at my son's school. Before the cards was given the parents were first given a seminar by Ptr. Ody about parenting. I learned a lot from it. Parenting is very hard but very fulfilling. Our kids are gift from God. I remember he mention about the message in the bible "I am the vine and your are the branches." He relate this to family, God being the vine and parents the branches and kids as the fruit. God should be the center of our parenting to be able to bear good fruit.
Anyway their class card looks different. It shows no numbers but C(consistent), P(progress) and N(not yet) on different skills of the student. You will also see VS (very satisfactory), S (satisfactory) etc. per each category. I wonder what is his real grades in numbers, we are told before we could ask the teacher for that. He may not be the brightest in their class but for me he is the best, my beloved child.

Though tiring I had a good time being with my son with their school field trip. The first itinerary was to visit the Doll Joy Factory. There we saw different kinds of dolls they manufacture and how they are made. They showcase beautiful dolls. They even let the kids know how dolls are being made. I find out that they also made the popular Precious Memory Dolls.
One thing that I learned from the said trip was my lack of time letting him know the classics fairy tales. There was a part there were different characters were asked like snow white, cinderella, tinkerber, rapunsel.. etc. While all the kids are answering he was there very quiet not knowing those popular characters. It saddened me and I am planning to either buy books or maybe dvd for him.
